The Empty Cinema That Changed Everything
"There were only two other people in the cinema that night, and just 32 in the entire complex. Movies showing on every screen, yet the whole place was practically empty. That was the light-bulb moment."In 2017, Choovie launched as a B2C offering, selling movie tickets directly to customers with dynamic pricing. When cinemas had empty seats, prices dropped. It was simple: fill cinemas, delight movie fans.
Then 2020 happened. COVID closed cinemas worldwide, and like many others, we took a hard look at our business. Digging deeper into the data revealed an even greater opportunity.
The Pivot That Defined Us
Movie fans wanting discounts often bought tickets through corporate loyalty programs. But most programs offered little more than a link to a voucher. We knew we could provide a better experience at a better price, so we built the first version of our MyBrand Movies platform.
Choovie Group was born.
With brands coming on board, we discovered something powerful: movies are the perfect engagement tool. We've since expanded beyond tickets to movie comms, VIP events, screenings, and sponsorships.

Choovie Group supplies a range of Australian clients with wholesale discount movie vouchers from all major cinema chains and several independent cinema chains.
Wholesale movie vouchers can only be sold to a registered business. They can be used as corporate gifts or sold directly to your customers. Retail selling is prohibited unless expressly agreed by Choovie Group in writing.
